Banco San Jose Brings Financial Literacy and Support to Sagrada, Pili

On March 28, 2026, our Naga and Calabanga branches teamed up to head to Sagrada, Pili, Camarines Sur, for a meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. Driven by the theme “Kaalamang Pinansyal, Kaagapay sa Buhay: Pamilyang Pilipino, Tungo sa Pag-unlad,” our goal was simple yet powerful: to equip local families with the tools they need for a brighter financial future.

The activity brought together participants of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) for an engaging financial literacy session. Participants gained practical knowledge on budgeting, saving, planning for future needs, and making informed financial decisions. The discussion also highlighted the importance of borrowing from banks regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), which provide safe and reliable financial services, instead of relying on informal lenders. Participants were also introduced to the Bank’s savings and loan products, designed to support individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and communities in achieving their personal and financial goals.

The day wasn’t just about learning; it was about connection! The event wrapped up with a heartwarming gift-giving and food distribution activity, giving us a wonderful opportunity to share laughs, express our gratitude, and bond with the community.

Banco San Jose extends its heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Victor Dimabogti for warmly welcoming the team into the barangay, as well as to the DSWD for its valuable support and coordination in making the initiative possible.

Through activities such as this, Banco San Jose continues to live out its commitment to serve not only as a financial institution, but also as a caring community partner, helping families move forward with confidence, knowledge, and hope for a better future.

Driven by a shared mission to serve beyond traditional banking, the Banco San Jose Head Office, Goa Branch, and Lagonoy Branch unified their efforts on March 21, 2026, to launch a meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative in Barangay Dolo.

Anchored by the theme “Nourish, Teach, Empower,” the collaborative project brought together bank employees, local leaders, and community members for a day dedicated to holistic support, and practical education.

The initiative was meticulously structured around three core pillars designed to address both the immediate and long-term needs of the families in Barangay Dolo:

Nourish: Recognizing that community well-being begins with foundational care, the event featured a targeted feeding program and a gift-giving activity. These efforts provided families with nutritious meals and essential everyday items, fostering a deep sense of connection and fellowship.

Teach: To cultivate long-term financial resilience, Banco San Jose financial experts conducted an accessible financial literacy session.

Empower: The initiative aimed to equip participants with the confidence and tools necessary to make informed financial decisions, ultimately paving the way for personal and economic growth.

By continuously bridging the gap between financial services and community advocacy, Banco San Jose reinforces its role as a trusted local partner, championing sustainable progress one community, one family, and one meaningful act of service at a time.
